My Kidz Closet, LLC is a privately owned company that has been running children's consignment sales for over 20 years.
Our sales selling spring/summer merchandise are typically in March/April, and our sales selling fall/winter merchandise are in August/Sept. of each year.
Yes, but we are not providing childcare during this event and ask, if possible, that children do not accompany you during the Wednesday Preview Sale for safety reasons.

Sorry, but no. There are no facilities available to change in. We suggest measuring your child's current clothes at home (inseam, length, waist, shoes etc). Most shoppers then bring a tape measure to check for the correct size.
Girl's clothing infant thru JRS, Boy's clothing infant thru JRS, Maternity, Toys, Outside and Inside play equipment, Little Tikes, Linens and Bedding, Shoes, Bedroom Decor, Baby Equipment, Books, Bikes, Videos, or anything else to do with kids!
Yes. We only sell spring/summer clothing in our March/April sales and fall/winter clothing in our August/Sept. sales.
BACK TO TOPAnyone can consign their children’s items with My Kidz Closet.
Sellers receive 70% of their sales less a $10.00 seller fee. However, you could be eligible for a higher percentage and/or eliminate the seller fee if you volunteer. Check out the Volunteer Incentive Schedule to see how you can earn a higher percentage and/or eliminate the seller fee!
Most sellers sell approximately 85% of their items in sizes 2-10. For sizes under 24 months the percentage drops due to the sheer volume of merchandise received. People also tend to receive infant clothing as gifts, hand me downs etc. The older sizes also will sell at a lower percentage as children become pickier as they near the pre-teen years and there is no way to try clothes on. Remember, bring your best items and price them to sell!!
Unsold items are to be picked up on the Saturday of the sale closing. All items not picked up at that time will automatically be donated and the check mailed within 48 hours.
No, when you pick up your unsold items, your items will already be sorted into your Seller# for easy pickup.
We make every effort to have your check ready on Sat. night when you pick up your unsold items (the day of the sale closing)! If not, they will be mailed within 48 hours.
Every seller will be able to download a report the following Sunday after the sale closes that lists each item that sold under their seller number. After each sale day, you can go online to the website, login to the Consignor Home Page and see what sold for that day.
The nightly totals are your GROSS sales and do not take into account the percentage and/or fees retained by My Kidz Closet, LLC.
Some dry cleaners will give you a modest amount of these items free. If you need a lot, ask if you can buy them. Most of the time dry cleaners will sell you these supplies at a reduced amount. (cheaper than discount stores). Other places to try are your local $1.00 store or Walmart.
No. Consignors drop off their items and come back on Saturday evening to pick up their unsold items and their check. However, volunteers do get the very earliest shopping privileges for working before, during or after the sale. Check out the Volunteer Incentive Schedule on the VOLUNTEER PAGE.
Each seller may sell up to 250 items per seller ID#. If you have over 250 items, you can obtain a second ID# by registering again under a slightly different name. (example: K. Long instead of Katrina Long). You would then have two separate seller numbers with their own inventory.
BACK TO TOPAt this time, only consignors may volunteer.

Most shifts are 4 Hours. Please visit the Volunteer page for info on more incentives for volunteering.
THE MEAL, DRINK AND POSTCARD SHIFTS ONLY COUNT TOWARDS EARLY SHOPPING AND SELLER FEE EXEMPTION, NOT TOWARDS INCREASED PERCENTAGE EARNED.
Yes! Please visit the Volunteer page for info on more incentives for volunteering.
We offer FREE childcare for volunteers for the SUNDAY SETUP shifts 1:00pm - 5:00pm, MONDAY and TUESDAY shifts 3:00pm - 7:00pm, FRIDAY shifts 5:00pm - 9:00pm and SATURDAY BREAKDOWN shifts 11:00am - 6:00pm.
If you are pregnant or have a medical condition, you will want to volunteer on Thursday or Friday afternoons when the workload is less. We also have several "sitting down" security positions available on Thur. and Sat mornings. If you need these positions, please e-mail us with your request after registering and we will try to accommodate.
Just remember that this sale can only run with the great help of volunteers, if you cancel or don't show it puts the sale in a "bind". If you don't show up for a shift without notifying us, you will not be able to participate at the next My Kidz Closet sale and your percentage earned will be adjusted down to 60%.
Yes, we always need help from husbands on Sunday set up and Saturday break down!! Just one of these shifts gets you into preview sale early.
Volunteers and consignors are able to shop early at the preview sale. Volunteer's friends with armbands can start shopping at 5:30pm. The general public is allowed to come to the preview sale, Wednesday, September 11, 2024 between 7pm and 9pm for an entrance fee of $5 cash per adult.
We recommend instead that shoppers bring a laundry basket or use one of our provided IKEA shopping bags to hold your “bargains”. Small strollers are allowed with children under 2.
We strongly rcommend not bringing your children to the Wednesday Preview Sale as it is very busy. If you must bring your children, they must remain with a parent. For their safety and for the safety of other shoppers, we cannot have children running around or playing with merchandise. Again, this is for the children's SAFETY!!
